He doesn't meet any of the requirements for a Hatton opponent i.e. he's not shit. Can't see this one happening.

He may not be shit, but he isn't that good either. Out of the current boxrec top 5 Spad is clearly the weakest fighter.
He has only had one fight up at lightwelter, so he won't be anywhere near as strong or as big as Hatton on the night. He certainly didn't have a punch at lightweight and i can't see him being able to hurt Hatton. Add to this the fact he's been hurt badly, and dropped at the lower weight.
IMO he's made for Ricky, and Warren should make every effort to get Spad before he's beaten by one of the other top guys.

Spadafora is way to slik for Warren to even think about putting in with Hatton. Spadafora would out box Hatton and make him look like an Amature. Hatton is a pressure fighter but it is hard to pressure someone you cant hit.

I tipped Spadafora a couple of weeks back, but I think if he was fighting Hatton, then showtime would definitely be showing the bill.

spaddy would be an ideal opponent. I'm sure Warren woulkd take this fight if showtime were showing it, but he always seems more reluctant when the american cameras aren't there.

Spaddy lost the first 4 rounds against Hatton last opponent Pederson. Spaddy was dropped and hurt against the light punching Leonard Dorin. Hatton is a pressure fighter like Dorin, is bigger than Dorin and hits far harder. I think he can win. In fact I seem to remember about a month ago Hatton mentioning Spaddy as an opponent he'd like to face. He's got nothing to fear against Spadafora, Hatton is pretty hard to keep off you for 12 rounds and I don't think he's gonna outbox him.

All this talk is hypothetical due to Spaddy having to face allegations of attempted murder over a horrendous incident involving his firlfriend in recent months.

I heard that she has withdrawn her statement regarding the incident, but I believe Spadafora is still charged with attempted murder and I can't see him being allowed to fly to Britain before his court date, surely?

I would like to see Spadafora in there although on the whole i don't really rate him too highly, he is typical of the home town fighter and overrated, like some others we could name  But seriously last i heard it was supposed to be Hatton-N'dou, but with N'dou facing Cotto that is not likely, are we any closer to knowing who he is fighting?

Believe it or not I'm a spadafora fan.

Don't get me wrong, I know how poor he is. If Spadafora get past these awful allegations I expect to see him gettting blown away by Hatton in a fight built up by Hatton and Warren. This will be Hatton vs a world champ whos been in with the best... Paul Spadafora

I've had a dream about this fight and it goes something like this:

Spadafora gets hurt and starts looking shoddy
As Ricky smacks away to the head and body
Takes unanswered shots again and again
Down to the floor...eight...nine...ten :TU:

Spaddy is alleged to have shot his 20 year old girlfriend (the mother of 2 children, neither of whom his) in the stomach because she crashed his Hummer.

You couldn't make it up (not even in Trailer Park Trash Weekly)

In fact I believe it was featured as a 3-part special in TPTW. It was so popular with their readers, it got nominated for a Pew-litzer prize.
