Pungent description of the WBO

Post by Blue »

Sunday’s Quote of the Day goes to David Isaacson of the SA.-Sunday Times.

The word is that Wladimir Klitschko, in spite of losing his last two WBO heavyweight title bouts (to Sanders last year and then to Lamon Brewster last month), will soon be made the mandatory challenger again. If that's the case, you can rest assured that the organisation is as clean as a blocked toilet.

"Always aim at killing your opponents and see if any biased referee can reverse the results." Idi Amin in the same column. Good stuff.

"The only title never to be held by a SA heavyweight is the WBC belt Sanders fought for. In case you're wondering, I have omitted kickboxer Mike Bernardo, who held the laughable WBF heavyweight belt a few years ago."

Hmm, I wonder who currently holds the laughable WBF belt? ;)

That a WBF belt is not as useful as the belt currently holding up my trousers.
