Will Haye Call out Vitali?

Post by deadpan »

If Vitali K beats Peter will Haye be gunning for him? Clearly the thrice stopped Wlad is his better chance of victory. A reinvigorated Vitali could piss on Haye's chips good and proper. Never floored and never behind on points in a fight. I wouldn't say that sounds like the second coming of Gurov.

Vitali is coming back from a four year lay off. I am backing Peter to knock him out.

I think Vitali will still win, he has a far better chin than his little brother - and is also very awkward and not so easy to hit with his style.

I back Vitali to stop Peter - you heard it here first.

..and you heard it here second. Vitali is soooo awkward I can't see the plodding Peter getting close enough, often enough, to take the momentum here. Vitali late stoppage for me.

Firstly, I think Peter will win. However, if Vitali wins and Wlad doesn't, the winners should fight each other.

If Vitali wins and Wlad wins, Haye should fight Vitali.

If Peter and Wlad win, they should fight each other again.

If Jameel McCline can put Peter down and cause him plenty of problems I reckon even after a 4 year lay off Vitali will have to much for him.

I think Vitali beats Peter comfortably providing the injuries and layoff haven't taken too much out of him

This fight will basically be the moment of truth because Sam Peter is regarded as one of the top heavyweights in the world and if he loses to a man who hasn't fought in nearly 4 years because of injuries then it really does show the awful state of the heavyweight division.

Age, inactivity and serious repeated injury will have eroded Vitali beyond recognition and the beating Peter will give him will make this whole thread irrelevent anyways -- in my opinion of course.

I agree. Being recognised generally as the second best guy in the division, if Peter doesn't win this fight against a 39 year old coming back from a four year lay off then the Heavyweight division is in a worse state than the financial markets.

Lol, I'm pretty sure I didnt and that vitali was always the favourite.

Can't believe some people are backing Peter, especially that cantankerous Overhand, who will be reminded of his magnificent Moorer KO Tua prediction. quit sniffing the lighter fluid chumps; Vitali is gonna smoke Peter's lumbering boots!

i doubt vitali will stick around for long this time round.

he just wants to hold a version of the title at the same time as his bro.

he'll beat peter.

he'd beat him with 1 hand tbh.

If Vitali doesn't get injured and hasn't got too much ring rust, he will beat Peter with ease. Vitali was giving as good as he got vs a version of Lenox Lewis whom Peter is still lightyears away from...
If you want to see what would happen to Haye vs Vitali, just watch Vitali vs Hide...A huge puncher from the cruisers vs a very tall strong natural HW...

Vitali is 4 years older now and was forced to retire through injury, i'd be staggered if he turns out a decent performance.

How was this career-ending injury miraculously cured anyway?

Maybe with good surgery and 4 years of rest to give the injuries a real time to heal?

yeah he must be somewhat ready this time.

don't forget he shelved it before cos he got injured in training.

no pull outs this time though.

But why would Vitali be anywhere near the level he was at five years ago against Lewis, particularly considering he hasn't fought in four years?
