He produced one last great fight against Mannion but Mannion was always a soak 'em up type of fighter with no punch. The Galwayman was over the hill, anyway, when Christie pasted him.

Mannion wasn't 'over the hill' Mannion was unbeaten in 8 fights since his 15 round loss to McCallum until he met Christie - Its just Christie made him look like a plodder in that fight.

If that fight was made in this day and age surely it would have been a 'world' (WBO at least) title fight.

I remember Errol looked sensational in his comeback after the Seys disaster, KO1 over Rico Hoye, the dad of the guy Clinton beat I think.
I've got some photos of him when I met him one time, about 20 years ago, I'll try to post em next week.

Those Saturday nights back in the 1990's, when you could watch all those guys you've listed, on FREE-TO-AIR TV was a great time.

I only wish we had that quality of fighter around today, in abundance & that we could see them without shelling out a small fortune.
