I like Jennings a lot, good fighter, really nice guy..... but I hope for his sake this doesn't come off, unless he makes a very large amount of money, because the gulf in class is rediculous. Potential career ending beating in my eyes.

Hope he gets paid well
Re: Did i hear Jennings v Cotto??
Scary stuff if it's true - Karmazin vs Walker on a much more brutal scale perhaps?
Re: Did i hear Jennings v Cotto??
This is still rumour, think Mr Thomas announced it on ESB. Depends if Williams does vacate the WBO title first. I've heard it will all hinges on what Pavlik does in the Hopkins fight.

Shame Jennings can't punch since Cotto's jaw Is shaky but Corley hurt him too.

Well Jennings is WBO number 2 and Cotto number 1, so if Williams fights Pavlik then he must vacate the belt, meaning Cotto and Jennings would fight for the belt.Hagler2002 wrote:I thought it was Jennings V Williams that was been touted about?

Jennings will perform better than Gomez because he's quicker and he can box. Gomez was stronger though.
I prefer this fight for Jennings over Williams. Cotto would win handily, but there is more scope for Jennigns to look better in this than tangling with a 7ft southpaw.

It's definitely not Jennings. Source; Dan Rafael and Bob Arum.
They have stated it will either be Cintron or Karas.
Also, Margarito v Mosley may happen before the end of the year.

Re: Did i hear Jennings v Cotto??
It would be good if Jenning could be put in with someone like Lujan, Gomez or even Baldomir before he steps in with someone like Cotto or Williams so at least we can judge how he fares against fringe - world level operators compared to the big boys. If he goes life and death with Alfonso Gomez maybe he might think twice before stepping in with Cotto or Williams! But with Jennings he could rise to the occassion - I'm not saying he would beat the top boys but perhaps give them a few problems. I mean its not like Jennings has found his level yet - he could well still be undefeated now as I had him beating Mutley. I think he's been badly managed - he should have had a shot at the Euro by now and he should be looking to clean up domestically as I think he could beat McIntyre and Watson, though admittedly I haven't seen much of Kell Brook.
