I dont know if people know this or not, but apparently Ryan Rhodes has withdrawn from this contest. Does anyone know why?

Re: Ryan Rhodes vs Vincent Vuma - WBC International title
Well if you'd bothered to attend the Hayemaker press conference, or read the link in the previous thread you'd know the answer.
Vuma was offered twice the purse that was anticipated for this fight.
He turned it down.
The WBC suspended the purse bids, and were seeking an explanation from Vuma for his reason for rejecting the offer.
He chose to defend his South African LM title instead of defending the International title and therefore has remained inactive in defence of this belt since the Thompson fight.
As I understand it, the WBC are considering stripping him of the title, and if they do, then Rhodes will be in pole position to fight for the vacant title.

Beagle - keep barking. Yet again up the wrong tree, Ladyboy.

Given my obvious allegiance, if anyone doubts the validity of my post, ask Rhino 222 who was at the press conference with his lad.

Setanta live.
Subject to result next Saturday Rhodes will still be on.

Wouldve been good although I fancy Ryan wouldve outboxed Vuma quite handily if im honest.

Wales,
Might take you up on that.
Rhodes is on the bill.
I expect there'll be an announcement in the next week or so.

Sound, I'll be there with Emerson. Look forward to it.
Re: Ryan Rhodes vs Vincent Vuma - WBC International title
i think that the wbc international belt holderautomatically gets a top 15 wbc ranking, thereforeputting you in with a big chance for a shot at the green belt, i think this is hayemaker promotions and rhodes' ambition.Old bones Ian wrote:The 'International' titles were quite a favourite over here for a while, but with the emergence of the WBU titles , they seem to have been dropped a bit by the main promoters.
The WBC International titles do help in getting world title shots , as the 'World Champion' can make a voluntary defence against the holder of the International title.

Just to confirm, if anyone didn't know, that Vuma v Rhodes is definitely on for the WBC International title, 15-11-08, as chief support to the Haye v Barrett fight.
