Paul Truscott

Post by coachburton »

Says he wants everyone in Britain and get the British Title. Also he said he should of won the young fighter of the year. Fights against Paul Appleby, Martin Lindsay and Akaash Bhatia are top class. I think Truscott is a super talent and 2009 is a massive year for him.

It would be good.... I think Bhatia is the best of the bunch, they are all promising and I'd like to think Matthews/Simpson isn't out of it yet.

watch out for Steve Smith

if Appleby can fight for a british belt in about his 12th fight Swifty can do it quicker IMO :box:

I agree that he looks a great prospect (seen him fight a few times in the Ams), but whether he gets the fight made that early or not is another matter. SOME promoters might not have taken the risk with Appleby so soon ...AHEM...

heh. i saw Appleby in about his 5th fight and Smith in his 2nd and 3rd. Smith looked much more polished at that slightly earlier stage IMO

Truscott is good. He did look a bit shaky in his last fight. Harder than it should have been? He has very good boxing skills. Most of his fights are fun to watch. He hasn't been as mobile as I thought he'd be, in the last 2 or 3 fights.

Truscott and Paul Appleby should be on a double title collision course, and that would be one tough fight for both of them. Maybe let them have another defence each of their titles and then pair them up.

I've been wathcing Bhatia for years since he was at Eltham ABC. Looks good in the pros too, but unlike Truscott and Appleby, hasn't passed an acid test yet and should have one before going in with either of the two champs.
