Can anyone provide details of this guys life other than the details on this site and the Harry Greb site. He has clearly a good boxer but there is little other detail available.
My main reason for asking is that he was a good friend of my dad ( Fred/Jack Snell , who is on this data base).
My thanks to all who have helped make this possible ( boxing rec people in particular). and Robin & Len .
The only photo I have seen of Reddick is on the Harry Greb site and this quite a poor image. I have a photo which may be Reddick but i am not sure. my dad kept it for so many years so he must have been a good mate.
So much detail has been lost, not available , on boxers past and present it is a bit unfortunate. Someone contacted me recently with the idea that making contact with retired boxers and getting them on vidio would be a good means of preserving and recording the life of not just who made it " big time" but those who had a go.
information and comments would be welcome

I couldn't agree more. There's so little around to document the great British boxers of the pre-war era. It's tragic these great sporting heroes are mostly forgotten today. Sadly there are few (if any) still alive who fought in the 20s and 30s and nearly just as few who would have witnessed these ring craftsmen in action. As you say it's not just about those who made it "big time", there are many great fighters who due to circumstance did not hold titles, but were indeed champions in all but name.robert.snell1 wrote:Can anyone provide details of this guys life other

Jack Reddick - new information
Thank you for your comments Alex.
It was a funny thing when I read your reply as I have just today subscribed to the Toronto Star - pages of the past- and was printing out the material they have on Jack Reddick !!!!
When I have managed to go through his material I will have a go at putting an article together and post it.
In addition I am pleased to say there is info on my dad and most of his opponents - much of which is new to me. When funds permit I will look further into the pay to view archives and put together what i can for others who may be interested.
