Rumour circulating: Hatton - Hamed..? Surely not?

Post by E »

There are rumours circulating that this is a possible match.....surely just hearsay?

Would this fight be made without Hamed ever having fought at light Welter?????

Stranger things have happened in boxing.....

total non story. most probably to boost nazs flaggin career. if you believe the rumours then naz is walking around heavier than welter just now.

although having said that..... an ex world champ, hasnt fought in 2 years, out of shape, career flagging, best days a distant memory, next to no credibility left, living off memories.....

sounds an ideal hatton opponent

Naz's potential comeback will be under the Ringside promotional bannner. Hatton is a Sports Network boy.
End of rumour.

Where did these rumours come from?

I don't think that many stranger things have happened in boxing. It's not even semi-plausible.

Worst rumour ever!!!

Boxing people in the know.....but as I stressed, it's a serious longshot.

But is it any more unlikely than:

Saying in 1990 that Steve Robinson would be world champ and make 7 successful defences????

Or saying in the early 80s that George Foreman would reign again as heavyweight champion?

As I said, it's not likely, but there is talk...
