I stumbled over this scoring

Is that a typo, or can someone explain what it means?

Thank you for any answer.

The first mentioned boxer won the 5-5 round on points for a split decision win.

NY had a rounds system of scoring that was supplemented by a points system in case of a draw.

So, in this case, with rounds even 5 each, the supplemental points were used to decide the winner.

In my opinion this was an excellent system, in theory if not practice. This was used at least through 1976 -- see for example Billy Douglas W 10 Pedro Soto.
