this boxer played a washed-up boxer on a 70's tv show (he played in only one episode). he got back into the ring way past his prime to get his son to love him. one of the main characters of the show sared hima nd knocked him down, the character was not a boxer and this "sparring session" was used to show how washed-up the guy was. as he boxed every round of the fight, they would show flashbacks to explain the story. he got ko'd in round four i believe and his son gave hm a big hug.

name of the series?

and the fighter who played the part?
