Calzaghe chasing skirt...
Calzaghe chasing skirt...
The News of the World revealed that Calaghe has split up with his wife and has been chasing this bit of skirt in the last few weeks.
Apparently, according to eyewitnesses, the new couple have been spotted in a few night clubs and on various dates. Although, the paper did show a picture of Calzaghe and his new love interest leaving a hotel, they did stress that Calzaghe is in preparation for Johnson and stressed that the Calzaghe camp have claimed the eyewitness claims are inaccurate.
It was two page feature and I can't help but think this is poor preparation for his hardest fight in years.
I'm off to the bookies.

Yeah it is poor preparation. Calzaghe should be more focused on Glengoffe Johnson, rather than his own Johnson.

Calzaghe and his wife has a big bust-up at Xmas in which she wound up with broken fingers. She came out with a farcical story at the time that she broke her fingers by getting them caught in a coat pocket as she jumped out of a cab.stujones wrote:The News of the World revealed that Calaghe has split up with his wife and has been chasing this bit of skirt in the last few weeks.

Now they've split up and it's all fairly self-evident.

Its poor preparation because he has no fight to prepare for. As i have said many times before IMO the fight wont happen on 5th or 12th JUnebennie wrote:Calzaghe and his wife has a big bust-up at Xmas in which she wound up with broken fingers. Funny news article on Calzaghe a few years back i found in a paper
Byline: Mark Staniforth
allegedly has a ticket to America ready for Joe Calzaghe - and, unlike Lennox Lewis, the Welshman is determined not to let a big chance slip.
Promoter Warren has promised Calzaghe his debut Stateside later this year, and he believes tonight's WBO super-middleweight title defence against Germany's Mario Veit in Cardiff will not only underline the boxer's new credentials as the best in Britain, but serve as his passport to the super-bouts he has long craved.
Warren has been working tirelessly for a year to set up a bout with elusive American Roy Jones - widely regarded as the No 1 pound-for-pound in the world - and while that remains very much in the pipeline, lucrative unification bouts do not.

My wife's uncle in Wales once told me a story about a mate of his, who is very possessive of his wife and takes offence if a bloke so much as looks at his missus, let alone ogle her.
Well he's in a shop in Cardiff with his wife one day and he can't but help notice this fella having a right old stare at his wife, who apparently is very attractive, and he starts getting annoyed. Anyway, the dark-haired lad continues giving her the look and hubby's starting to get wound right up, so he whispers to his missus: "If that bloke doesn't stop eyeing you up I'm gonna fuckin 'ave him." He then starts staring Calzaghe out.
His missus turns round and says: "Wouldn't if I were you my love I really wouldn't bother, I wouldn't want to see you get hurt."
"What do you mean get hurt woman?" he asks surprisingly.
"Cos unless I'm very much mistaken that's Joe Calzaghe and I don't fancy your chances pet!"
Here husband replies: "Fair enough, I'll leave him alone then, and anyway, it wouldn't be fair. He's a few pounds below my weight division anyway. Now let's fornicate off out of here!"

My spy tells me that Johnson is in the best shape of his life, 100% focused, and working on a strategy that will result in an inside the distance loss for Clazaghe.
