Duddy v Sam Hill

Post by Old bones Ian »

John Duddy will earn some Christmas spending money when he takes on durable Sam Hill, not a great match, Hill has been in with some good names, and usually takes them to the later rounds. But he looked very worn in his last fight against Quillon, hope that Hill doesn't keep fighting for to much longer, he can't keep taking these beatings

It's just a stay busy fight. Duddy is suppose to fight Ronald Hearns if they both win their next fight.

Hearns is fighting on the undercard of Bute-Andrade this friday.

yeah agree, the Hearns fight will certainly be interesting to watch, i'm not convinced on either at the very top level, but its good to see them risking their rankings against each other if the fight comes off.

I just worry about boxers like Sam Hill, bit to brave for their own good. But its his decision to box and he knows the risks.

Neither Duddy or Hearns look world class at the moment and I think it's a good solid test for both and will be a live fight at least. More than what can be said for Duddy-Hill which, as my learned friend claimed earlier, is just christmas money! I saw Hill I think fighting Demers (?) on a recent ESPN card and he is more of a sitting duck these days than ever.
