I'm with you mate, Nigel Wright although I'm not writing off Conway. I wouldn't be surprised if the reserves slipped in because of cuts

I'm sticking a tenner on Wright, at 6/1.
Conway is a differcult one for me, he has lost his last 4 but in good company, and i've not seen any of them to say how much he has left. Also he's not weighed 149 for 4 years, so although he a former superfeather, sometimes taking off that extra weight can affect your strength.

Saying all that though, he always had a good workrate , and decent chin at this level. So he could be a pick.

It all depends on Conways shape, at his peak the shorter distance would really suit him, he's not a puncher but as slippery as they come.
I saw him lose on points in Spain, where he was really out of shape against a guy he was better than, but he was really gassed and took a couple of counts and barely did anything back.
Welter is certainly more his weight, if he is in decent training he would easily make it

Hillyard is no longer in it. He failed to make weight.

I've put a 'Dancing With the Stars' ban on the TV for this.

Is Hillyard the most undisciplined waste of talent currently in British boxing?

I felt this kid could really do something before he turned pro

Its quite hard to pick the winner. Wright should do well, have my doubts about Minter. Conway very unlikely to get through. Bami/ Wright for the final, with Wright just ahead. Probably wrong altogether, my predictions have been shit just of late.

Nigel Wright. Weight isn't ideal but now Hillyard's out , Wrighty will have enough ambition and skill to see off the rest.

Fat waste of time...what a disappontment.

I seen him in the gym when he was 16 or 17 and he looked amazing...really good, really busy.

But when I see him as a pro he has gone backwards - throwing single shots, with a soft physique.

Hillyard maybe erratic, but he's good fighter with talent and a fair dig.

He's been in with some good opposition already and done alright. I never viewed him as a very hot prospect so don't have the same expectations.

Asking him to make 10st 9lbs was just unrealistic.

Gutted - I missed the 6/1 on Wright... in to 4/1 now.

I reckon he's a decent bet, with the danger being Bami. I cannot see Minter doing anything....

Bami-Wright final at 5/1 looks decent..........

Seen wright a couple of times, and he's a quality operator with a decent chin, and good all round skills. I think he could be a bit cautious for the format, though.

That being said, I haven't seen any of these, so who am I to talk?
