Andy Morris coming back, wants Mitchell

Former British feather champ Andy Morris of Manchester, the only man to beat Rendall Munroe, is on the road back after an accident at work laid him up for some time. He wants Mitchell or any of the other top names at super-feather and also talks about the Simpson fights.

If he cheated on his diet, why is he moving up? He's too small physically for Super Feather - he's got to be more disciplined.

Lovely skills with nice head movement and good ring generalship - it will be good to have him back.
I remember watching him as an am at the Commonwealths in Manchester - doesnt seem that long ago.

As said, he will be undersized against Mitchell but who is to say that skill will not out??..

I'm a fan of Andy's , but not sure he's 100% in boxing now, that last statement about not wanting to diet over Christmas, then wanting a couple of fights at lightweight. Doesn't show to me that the desire is still there like it was.

Hope he proves me wrong.

Simpson really annihilated Morris the last time they fought. Andy is a very nice boxer but he can't afford to get involved because his chin isn't reliable enough. It will be good to see him back.

He sounded really enthused on the phone – feels like his best years are slipping away from him if he doesn't get back soon.

Morris doesn't strike me as the chinny sort - I think he was probably drained from making feather and maybe that decreased his punch resistance. He always looked really tight at the weight to me. But if he can do the weight alright he should stick at feather because I think he has the style to beat Appelby. I really like watching Morris - his footwork is really good, he just needs to remember that he is a boxer, not a slugger when he fights as slugging is what caused his two defeats.
