Kessler vs Haussler online...

Post by whiskey »

http://www.livefight.com/news/kessler-v ... e_714.html

The fight is being streamed free by German TV online.

“I never underestimate my opponents,” said Kessler (40-1, 30 KOs)

“Danilo Haussler is physically very strong but I have advantages when it comes down to reach and footwork. I have trained very hard in Monaco and Denmark. I feel in great shape.”

Haussler will keep coming forward all night into Kessler's smooth jab until his face is swelled and bruised out of proportion. A UD or late stoppage on the cards for my reckoning.

Well in Germany they are an hour in front, so realistically the fight will be on UK time anywhere between 7.30pm and 8.30pm or so.

no, its not on a english channel, I thought NUTS might have picked it up but seemingly no.

Marco Huck and Alexander Abraham are on the undercard I imagine one of them fights will be shown before Kessler.

Kessler working the jab. Haussler not close enough to Kessler to land his punches.

Haussler was always a complete joke of a mandatory. Kessler and his camp knew that so it's good to see that they've done a professional job and gotten him out of there quickly. Hopefully if Froch beats Pascal (and I think he will) we'll see a unification fight between the two best super middles in the world after that.

Its gonna be hard to get the champions in to unification fights as Kessler, Bute and hopefully froch have good fan base at home.

Good to see Kessler come back well post Calzaghe. He seems like it hasn't ruined his confidence and he has badly beaten up two decent opponents, one at home, one away. A very solid fighter who can beat most with that accurate jab. We'll have to see how he deals with less orthodox styles.

Should be some bankable and compelling fights out there in the new 168 division. There are the stars of 160 who can't make 160 anymore...or soon won't be able to (Pavlik, Abraham, Taylor). There are some rising Americans with weird styles (Dirrell, Ward). Rival champs Bute (IBF), Inkin (WBO), Froch/Pascal (WBC). I think the danger man looks like Karoly Balszay, a superb southpaw stylist whom Universum might be lining up for Inkin.

If all the titles end up in Germany and Canada, this is a bad thing as they'll be protected. Kessler might be best off grabbing a recognized US name, other than beating whoever the WBA insist on (Murat? - another German payday; Alan Green? - get some US recognition).
