pro boxers in the Olympics
Re: pro boxers in the Olympics
FRrnk Warren has always walked to the beat of his own drum. He has never gone along with what other promoters are doing and giving. That's why I was asking if he was the person offering Degale the big bucks.
Re: pro boxers in the Olympics
Does anyone know anything more about Degale's alleged signing bonus and/or promotional contract? Is Warren the promoter?
Re: pro boxers in the Olympics
Thanks for reasking my question, Dennis. Maybe, as a lawyer, you'll get a response. You're scarier than me.

Sometimes you are just a little ambiguous.boxmel wrote:You are actually really good at echoing/restating what I post - ummmmm - do you have a degree in Echoing with a minor in Restating? Damned lawyers! Picky.

Supposedly DeGale's in the middle of a bidding war between Bob Arum, Warren and Mick Hennessey.Dennis wrote:Does anyone know anything more about Degale's alleged signing bonus and/or promotional contract? Is Warren the promoter?
He might get lucky because of the SKY/Setanta Sports rivalry in the UK but $2.5million seems way too high.
After Sydney Audley Harrison signed a £1 million ten-fight TV deal and that wasn't when the economy was going downhill fast.

A bidding war for a boxer. Now that is something new in this era! Maybe it is a sign of good things to come.
