it driving me mad.. remind me.....

Post by neil r »

can someone please remind me who were the boxers involved in a fight in america about 20 years ago when the "winner" was found to have taken the padding out his gloves.

real sad story the defeated fighter was a useful prospect but never quite recovered and eventualy died at a young age car crash or alcohol wasnt it?

ive been driven nuts by this for days. was mentioning it to someone and my mind just went blank as to who was involved. was there a billy someone??

Puerto Rican scumbag Luis Resto, along with trainer Panama Lewis, did the deed. Billy Collins Junior suffered.

Not a Pryor fight the above. Panama Lewis also produced a mysterious bottle that seemed to revive Pryor late in the Arguello fight, no one knows what was in the bottle.

Sugar and water apparently.

Collins crashed his bike after a drinking session. Still remember the pictures of his face after the fight - looked like he'd been beaten with a baseball bat.
