Apr. 15 - Frank McQuillan, Glasgow L pts
(Ireland vs. Scotland). “For sheer science this contest would take some beating. Clean, clever exchanges prevailed throughout, as both boys fought for mastery. The Scot’s weaving and footwork was a treat to watch as he sidestepped and ducked to avoid his fast-moving rival’s punches. Teidt boxed cleverly and his left-hand deliveries were well timed” (Boxing News 4-22-55:13).

Jan. 13 - Tommy McGuinness W pts
(Ireland vs. Scotland; Dublin)
Jan. 21 - Manfred Hass W pts

(Crumlin B.C. vs. Hamburg)
Aug. 10 - L. Koch W
(Crumlin B.C. vs. Hamburg)
Sept. 21 - Harry Perry, Dublin W pts
“Perry was well beaten by the new-look Teidt, who has forsaken the back-pedal motto and turned ‘killer’ with a precision right cross, and it was that that clinched the issue for him against Perry. In the opening round I thought Perry was hit low as he endeavoured to bend his middle and try to defend himself at the same time, but the referee to my mind erroneously paid no attention to his difficulty” (Boxing News 9-28-56:14).
Oct. 5 - Eddie Green W 1
(Ireland vs. Wales; Dublin). “Teidt had another inside schedule win. He was given the opportunity at throwing the lot as his novice-like opponent, but failed to put him on the boards, and the referee rightly called it a day for the bewildered Green” (Boxing News 10-12-56:13).
Oct. 9 - Tommy McGuinness W pts
(Ireland vs. Scotland; Paisley)
Oct. 26 - R. Glamann W
Nov. 23 - Tadeusz Walasek (Poland) W pts
“Teidt scored a most impressive preliminary win over the rated Walasek” (Boxing News 11-30-56:13).
Nov. 26 - Pearce Lane (USA) W pts
Nov. 30 - Kevin Hogarth (Australia) W pts
Dec. 2 - Nicolae Linca (Romania) L pts
(Olympic welterweight finalist; Melbourne.) “Unluckiest boxer from the British Isles was Teidt, who suffered what many thought was the worst decision in the Olympics. Our old American friend and colleague, Nat Fleischer, said it was one of the worst decisions of all time when Teidt was adjudged to have been outpointed in the final by Linca on a split decision. Two judges voted for Teidt by two points and another scored the bout even but marked his card in favour of Linca by a single point. When it was announced that Linca was the winner the decision was loudly booed” (Boxing News 12-7-56:14). “Linca was well beaten by Teidt but received a verdict that looked like highway robbery” (Boxing News 12-7-56:14). “Teidt boxed the head off Linca and absolutely skated home, only to see the judges give the most disgusting verdict in the whole of the Melbourne series” (Boxing News 12-14-56:9).

1957

Jan. 30 - Billy Wadham W pts
(Ireland vs. England; Albert Hall, London). “Wadham was never in it and was well outpointed” (Boxing News 2-8-57:13).
Feb. 8 - Terry Finnegan W pts
Feb. 15 - A. Murphy W
Feb. 22 - O. Devlin W
Mch. 3 - K. H. Johannpeter W pts
(Ireland vs. Westphalia, West Germany; Dublin). (Boxing News 3-8-57:14).
Mch. 21 - “Danno” Power W pts
Mch. 23 - Harry Perry W pts
(Irish Senior welterweight champion; Dublin). “One of the greatest bouts ever seen in Dublin. This was a brilliant, skillful bout, one which had the sell-out crowd cheering non-stop from first to final bell, and which ended on a controversial note with the awarding of the decision to Teidt. Immediately the result was announced there was a howl of protest, and booing continued for some minutes. Perry swept into the attack from the first bell, but Teidt made wonderful use of his piston-like left, one of the best in the business. He landed with straight punches, and hard left hooks, and won the round narrowly. The all- action second round ended about even. The third was fought midst tremendous cheering. Perry went all out for victory. He kept attacking all through, and landed some grand punches with both hands, but skillful Teidt kept clear of danger. It was a close thing, but Teidt deserved the title” (Boxing News 3-29-57:14).
Apr. 5 - A. Germani W pts
(Ireland vs. Italy; Dublin). “Teidt, although not at his best, was too good for Germani” (Boxing News 4-12-57:13).
May 26 - Jan de Vos (Holland) W pts 3-0
May 28 - Max Meier (Switzerland) W pts 3-0
May 31 - Leopold Potesil (Austria) L walk over
(European welterweight semifinalist; Prague). “Doctors, officials and trainers were busily arguing whether or not the classy Teidt should be allowed to continue after he had damaged his right hand and cut his left eye against Meier. Teidt’s passage had been easy - and he was confidently tipped to whip Potesil. But Teidt himself was not too anxious to continue under his handicap and was withdrawn - much to the discontent of the Irish party” (Boxing News 6-7-57:15).
Oct. 10 - John Martin, Cork W 2
“Teidt made his first competitive appearance since his injury in the European Championships, and it was a great winning return. The brilliant Teidt knocked out Martin in the second round. Martin opened well, and made the pace, but he did little real damage. Teidt was into his stride in earnest right from the start of the second, and midway through the round knocked out Martin with a delightful left uppercut” (Boxing News 11-8-57:14).
Oct. 25 - Robert “Bertie” Scott W pts
(Ireland vs. Scotland; Dublin). “Teidt opened as if he was going to annihilate Scott by flooring him twice for ‘eight.’ Scott weathered the storm, and fought back gallantly, but though Teidt did not move with his customary effectiveness, he won clearly” (Boxing News 11-1-57:14).
Nov. 15 - H. Dieter W 2
(Crumlin B.C. vs. West Berlin; Dublin). “Teidt took one round and twenty seconds to beat Dieter. Teidt floored his man just after the start of the second with a capital left to the head, and the count had reached ‘eight’ when the towel came fluttering in” (Boxing News 11-22-57:14).
Nov. 29 - Brian Ellaby W

1958

Jan. 20 - P. Kent W
Jan. 31 - E. Smith, Cork - -
Mch. 7 - Harry Perry, Dublin W pts
“Dublin Stadium was packed for the contest the fans had been waiting for since the great Irish welter final last March. And the fans were not disappointed for this was a great contest, little if anything behind last year’s final, which will rank as one of the greatest ever seen in Dublin” (Boxing News 3-14-58:14).
Mch. 22 - Harry Perry L pts
(Irish Senior welterweight finalist; Dublin). “The Irish Senior Championships provided the most gripping chapter yet in the thrilling story of meetings betwen Perry and Teidt. These boys have delighted fans with some great scraps in the past, but this welter final tops them all. This was the greatest bout ever seen in Dublin, a skilful, all- action contest that had the sell-out crowd cheering excitedly from first to final bell. Teidt opened in great style, dropping Perry for ‘eight’ with a left hook to the jaw in the first minute. Perry, however, weathered the storm, and towards the end of the round was attacking hard, and scored with some grand rights to the head. Perry swept into the attack from the start of the second. He landed grand left hooks to the head, and hard rights to the body, and though badly shaken by a right cross, shaded the round, to leave the outcome resting on the final one. Right from the bell Perry went after his man and scored with grand stabbing lefts. Teidt fought back magnificently, landing some grand punches, but Perry continued to carry the fight, and earned a narrow verdict” (Boxing News 3-28-58:14).
Oct. 30 - Karlheinz Johannpeter W
(Irish Select vs. Westphalia, West Germany; Dublin)
