Wasn't impressed with Jones' training to be honest. Has he done any sparring?

I don't think anyone is worried about his training. His age, on the other hand.....

It was a good watch but it failed to get my heartbeat up. The ones with Cotto/Margarito, Calzaghe/Hopkins and Hatton/Mayweather really got me up for the fight. This one didn't.

I know what you mean. It's probably because there's no bad blood involved, all very respectul... on the surface.

Cant fault HBO though, from the Schreiber narration to the stunning camera work and editing. Flawless.

A bar of soap has more charisma than Joe, he's a nice guy but he doesn't have the appeal to the masses like Hatton does for example so a 24/7 show was always going to be a damp squib.

I didn't like Jones comment 'if Roy Jones loses, who cares? But if he loses, he loses his streak'

I thought this, but my immediate afterthought was not to read too much into it. I think there is too mch of a stigma around boxing regarding talking about losing/being dropped etc prior to a fight that is mostly folklore. A few years ago, eating sweets and donuts before a fight would have been chastised by the old school, but we all saw Floyd Mayweather doing it.

What matters, imo, is training hard and feeling comfortable in your surroundings...ultimately, it's whatever works for the fighter.
