Converting fights from VHS to youtube.com ready flv files

Post by jmc617 »

I have a panasonic DVD-R/ VHS player

I insert the tape I want to record from

I insert blank DVD-R + or - best is a re-recordable

I record in XP to preserve most quality I can usually you get 1 hour on the DVD's

You insert your DVD with recording in .VOB format into your DVD-ROM. We want to convert into an .AVI file so you can use a program called SUPER by erightsoftware you can find the torrent for it by searching for it on BIT CHE which weeds through 20+ Torrent portals and sites. Then use a torrent client such as uTorrent or Bitcomet to download. You just drag over the file and whala! In a few minutes it saves to the default output folder.

I edit the AVI file down to remove all loose ends using a video editor called U-Lead Video Studio 11. You can get it through the same process as SUPER for all you cheapo's who don't want to buy it (had to throw the following disclaimer in) but I don't recommend doing it that way. :)

Once you edit it down then just click share menu and press save to FLV file. This renders the video frame by frame usually takes a bit maybe 15-20 for a one round match with intro's.

Then you go to youtube.com and upload from your account and it must be 10:30 minutes or less.

I would be very interested in hearing other methods so please if you have time do indulge!

Thanks!
