Skelton v Long?

Post by Matchfixer »

Just read on Sky Sports website that Keith Long is the most likely man to challenge Skelton for British and Commonwealth titles.

If this fight were to happen, does anyone think Long has a chance bearing in mind he did reasonably well against Bakhtov after a long time out?

Would such a fight be made or would it potentially upset the chance of Skelton v Harrison?

Lots of messy infighting in this one. I think Long has a chance because I'm not 100% convinced Skelton has a granite chin yet. Sure, Sprott hit him clean a couple of times near the start of their fight, but I'd be interested to see how Skelton reacts to a haymaker he doesn't see coming. Ironically (even though I gave up on him long ago) I think Danny Williams could provide this acid test, despite him - like Sprott - being a mental midget.
