Barry Hall selling up...moving to Perth
Barry Hall selling up...moving to Perth
Guys I came across an article whilst chasing some info on Danny Green. It is from the Perth Now web site on the 18th Oct. so I apologise if it is old news. If it's not what do you think.
I have tried to attach the link with no luck. Basically it stated Barry Hall has put his house in Sydney on the market and is looking at moving to Perth to be under the tutelage of Danny Green in a full time boxing career...may just be another "Perth" media build up, but is an interesting read.
You can see it on the Perth Now site, or google Danny Green Boxing.

Re: Barry Hall selling up...moving to Perth
can't imagine him giving up footy at this stage.
Re: Barry Hall selling up...moving to Perth
Don't know if Barry will take up pro boxing but there are a few factors weighing against him:
1) he's 31. Starting a pro career at this stage means he'll be playing a major game of catchup and I'm not sure if he can do it. He may get to national level but that's about his limit I'd say
2) he possesses very little discipline on the football field When things don't go his way he ends up lashing out in anger. I wouldn't think this will help him one bit in a sport such as boxing where mental discipline plays such an important role
3) experience. Far as I know his boxing experience amounts to a few amateur bouts
If he feels the need to take up boxing seriously I reckon he'll receive (and take up the lucrative offers) to fight the other ex and soon to be ex footballers going around. The pinnacle of his career may be John Hopoate (so what?)
