I don't understand this Spadafora fight after Ricky blows out Mesquita. What on earth can possibly be gained by beating Spadafora a former light punching and inactive lightweight. Spadafora has never even beat anyone himself so this fight just doesn't make any sense. I wonder if the Sky team will get into FW about this garbage, I doubt it.
Is it really that hard to get a legit top ten Welter? Whether it be Urkal, Harris, Mitchell, Corley and even Mayweather was offered and was turned down. Even Lovemore is better than this guy he's going to fight. I believe Hatton is past the Lovemore stage though and is no longer a prospect. I just don't believe Frank that any of these fights couldn't be made for one reason or the other, Ricky is a good payday for these guys.
Lets face it, whoever it is whether it be Warren, Ricky himself or Billy Graham. They don't have confidence in Ricky and they believe deep down that he's going to get beat up if he faces a decent fighter, they know something we don't about Ricky or they would have stepped him up by now. Its a farce these fights plane and simple. Mesquita pulled out of fighting Ricky a couple a years ago and Joe Hutchinson came in as well.
