Paul Bowen fights for the British title

Post by Kilburn »

That's right. According to an email from urbanedition.com, Bowen, managed by Barry Hearn and who celebrated his birthday on saturday will be challenging in June on Sky Sports. They also reckon he is 14-0 with 9 ko's.

What's all this bollocks? He can't be fighting Oboh surely. He'd get slaughtered.

Froch has probably bottled out of his defence against Dodson.

Maybe he's dropping down to middle, hasn't Eastman given up that belt? Last I heard of Bowen he'd hung them up because of brittle hands.

Paul was the better Bowen, right?

I expected big things from both Bowen boys, it never happend. As far as I am aware both brothers had long retired. The BBBoC shouldn't sanction this, whatever weight it is.

Sounds fishy to me - can't see the Board allowing this one, they would get slaughtered

The middleweight division is weak at present (Rhodes, Bendall and Dann are the outstanding challengers; all aging southpaws). Yes, it could well happen.
