WHOS BEEN fornicating WITH OSCAR BONAVENA?
why do you guys have to keep going back & going back and fiddling with finished artefacts?
who the frick is oscar nataliono bonavena, or whatever it says on all of his opponents records?
when was oscar EVER referred to as this title? 'ringo' sometimes, napalo-whatever, no.
does that mean we can now have 'lennox claudius lewis' on all the records, and 'michael gerald tyson' too?

The rationale I'm sure behind the change was that in Argentina, that is how he would be known. It is common for Argentinians to be referred to, with their middle name. I think the issue is that Bonavena fought predominately out of the U.S., so I would think the Natalio should be left out in his case.
This is also the case with Alex Miteff (Pablo Alexis Miteff)

Yes Bonavena is known in Argentina as "Oscar Natalio". Its customary over there to call people by their full name. But being that this is BoxRec.com and not Boxrec-Argentina.com, and the fact that Ringo was a fighter known all over the world as "Oscar Bonavena" or "Ringo Bonavena", I also agree that his middle name should be dropped.
PS: Overhand, have you ever heard of the Malvinas Islands?

Blue, I think the Brits took care of that "Bronca" a long time ago, and did so without even working up a sweat :)
I removed the intrusive "Natalio" and on Ric's suggestion I put the full name in the bio page. Besides the reasons pointed out here, there was a also the problem that when you performed a search with the name "Oscar Bonavena" you were coming up with 50+ hits. As it is now, only Ringo comes up, the way it should have always been.

what the fornicate? overhand posts something on record queries forum, and people agree?? whats going on here? this is against the rules. if your gonna start changing the established agenda of 'overhand speaks sense & provides rare and valuable info/editors ignore it/editors hope it will go away rather than do any work' then i'd like to know in advance.
yes of course, las islas malvinas are our property, and will be so forevermore, argentians and indigneous races be damned!!Broncano wrote: PS: Overhand, have you ever heard of the Malvinas Islands?
With such a fascist agenda we can only pray that you never hold office. Then again, in Tony Blair's shoes you might be tempted to trade one of the south Pacific possessions for a copy of Spoon-Jumbo Cummings, wouldn't you?overhand_right wrote:

Sorry, you're wrong, Broncano - those penguins are clearly wearing tuxedos, which are ENGLISH formal dinner jackets (although the appellation "tuxedo" came from the Americans.)Broncano wrote:LOS PINGUINOS ARE ALSO ARGENTINOS!!!
Check it out on the site Mindless Crap Origins - Because Everything Has To Start Somewhere:
In short, you be wrong. Los Malvinas no mas - Falklands forever, baby! :PIn the 1880s, formal dinners required men to wear white tie and tails. The members of the Tuxedo club, in Tuxedo Park, NY, wanted to make their male members more comfortable. So they allowed English dinner jacket for their formal affairs. The jacket became known as the tuxedo.
