Upcoming fights

Post by MalcolmDavies »

Some good fights coming up over the next few weeks after checking the schedules on BritishBoxing.net

How do people call the following.

Froch/Dodson - I go for Dodson by late KO, to burst the myth of Froch being a world champ!
Williams/Rutherford - Got to go with Dazzo he has shown massive improvement of late.
Calzaghe/Johnson - I expect Calzaghe to grind him down and win late
Magee/Reid - Reid mid-rounds stoppage..

You guys in Britain, what sort of odds would I get on this as an accumulator?

I tend to agree with most of your views. Froch/Dodson is one I can't call, but I think Dodson has less of a chance as he didn't get the warm up fight, but still see it 50/50..

What about Earl/Vanzie although not confirmed yet, what do you guys make of this one, the Earl who beat Murray would beat Vanzie, but both seem to be on a downhill slope at the minute I hear Murray is being lined up for the winner, so could be the end of the careers for 2 out of the 3..

I agree that dodson who likes to throw lead right hands might knock out froch late who is a talent but definitely overhyped. for me ritherford has the beating of dazzo cos he physically a lot stronger being a former lightweight(amatuer) whilst dazzo used to be a superbantam. Based on magee 's last performane u goota go with reid who put up a good show against ottke. WHEN IS VANZIE- EARL 2 GONNA HAPPEN? ITS BEEN SCHEDULED LIKE 5 TIMES! Favour vanzie but iwas there in preston when he got destroyed by romanov looks like he struugled at the weight and the layoff will not help this....

This Earl-Vanzie British title saga has become laughable. The Board strip Earl of his lightweight title for twice pulling out of defences against Vanzie - but the two are now meeting on June 5 apparently for the VACANT title. That's baffled me.

i think the board just gave him a kick up the ass and forced him to fight vanzie some time this Century by stripping him.
