Thoughts On Witter Fight Spoiler

Post by josh fg »

I thought witter looked pretty good, the opponent wasn't that grate but witter was clinical powerful and came out attacking and I hope he gets in against a top level opponent soon. Grate KO as well.

What does everyone think?

 Sorry Josh it was just you spelt it wrong twice in the same post!

I pretty much agree, the opponent was very timid and not in Junior's league. It was good to hear after the fight from Hennessy that there are options and an immediate shot at Bradley is a possibility. Lets hope Junior is back in the ring pretty soon tho, we don't need another 6 month break.

As I have stated before I think Witter boxes a lot more effectively as an orthodox fighter and even though the switching is to confuse his opponents, as a southpaw he lunges and looks uncomfortable. He got the job done against an Argentine unknown and even though the Argies are usually tough nuts, this one couldn't take the well placed body shots.

European crack or an eliminator next? Contrary to what was said post fight I cannot see him beating Bradley if they were to rematch but an eliminator against Devon Alexander could be interesting business for both parties.

I think he could fight Brady, he lost closely to Bradey and seemed to be fighting a lot better, I don't like the conservative approach to getting titles back, he will not get any better he has settled his nerves he should get the fight as soon as he can.

I think anybody who can't spell "great" hasn't got a chance at a job with The Guardian.

I was impressed with Witter's performance. As steve689 noticed, Witter boxed in a very orthodox stance. I think this helped increase the damage of his punches. The other guy had no answer whatsoever.

Good to see him looking focussed, he'll need to be at his best all the way now to land another world title shot.

I don't quite follow this one but there you go, maybe i'm out the loop :P

Whether grate or great, the KO was impressive stuff but Witter must act fast if he is to get back into world class.

Private Eye refers to it as The Grauniad, so I think he might fit in well

I think Witter may have the longevity of Bernard Hopkins. He condition and focus was impressive and he really does seem to still have all his faculties.

What job is that mate?

Payney is right, the Mail is aimed at middle-aged, middle class white supremacists and women :)
