Lyric Translation

Post by m1kee50 »

These evil streets don't sleep, be careful of whom you mingle
In a city where it pays to be bilingual
Yo soy grifo, no me importa tu culo, si via a diablo

Thaankyou.

It could be:
I'm a tap * griffin, I don't care about yur ass, if it goes to the devil.

*There's a mythological creature called Grifo, half eagle half lion.

Hope it helps.

Es desconcertante, pero no sé qué hace esto de Matthews en un Foro tan específico como el de Boxeo, su texto --digno de un pésimo imitador de E. E. Cummings (o "e. e. cummings", como le gustaba al poeta)-- es una grosería; además, recuerdo en La Divina Comedia, de Dante, que el grifo simboliza nada menos que a Jesucristo, de manera que cualquier palabrota está de más; no nos va a "sorprender" Matt pues aquí no hay, gracias a Dios, ningún tonto

:shame:

Arguero: muy oportuna tu referencia, ¡gracias!

Thanks Martin and Aguero (although I think I'll have to ask Martin to translate his reply, since Babelfish rendered it into doggerel)
The lyrics are from Pharaoh Monche's "Got you" so if anyone has a copy, could they pop it on and listen, because its entirely possible the lyrics above are mishearings of the spanish words. It may well be a Mexican or American-Spanish dialect/slang for all I know.

And I apologise for not doing any of this in Spanish.
