Who got the British Boxing Forum locked away?
Who's the person/outfit that threatened you guys with whatever it was that caused you to hide the forum from view to those other than logged in members?
It's not illegal to say who it is that's causing US problems, is it? Just so that we can hate them all the more for it.
Or am I just being paranoid?

It seems to be the most likely cause. My immediate thought is of course Frankie Warren. But who knows...
Either way, I wouldn't have noticed if you guys hadn't said. I'm always logged in.

In other words, the "Remember me" thingy is checked, so I don't have to log in when I visit. I didn't mean I'm always on here. ;;-)banjo wrote:geekAsterix wrote:I'm always logged in.D

Presume so. If he's throwing his ever diminishing clout about, again, it'd be nice to know about it.Asterix wrote:It seems to be the most likely cause. My immediate thought is of course Frankie Warren. But who knows...

Boxrec are making a very wise move in closing the forum to the general public - reason why every poster or viewer has to be logged on - with that comes an IP address and as such these can be traced.
The only problem with that is the forum will not get many new viewers as the forum does not appear on the General Index - I am sure there is a way of enticing new posters onto the British forum by letting them know its here but the necessity to log on to view the place.
I am sure Shep or one of the mods could recitfy this problem.

Hang on, its all a big coincidence that Spud reappears at the same time as these "troubles" surface?
Is this another chapter in your long list of boxing forums you have brought down?

Lets discuss boxing shall we ?? - or are you and the predictable names going to start yet again and then do the obvious of blaming me for things.
You should try looking on the multitude of threads and enter into some of the debate there - or is your boxing knowledge lacking to such a degree you feel you have to insult people or simply write sarcastic notes.

All it needs is a slight tweaking - ie the British forum title can be seen on the General Index but you have to log on to view the posts - the administrator can remidy this very easily.

pudendum.
Yes I do the odd bit, not as much as I'd like, but have just moved to a daily so it's difficult to balance everything.
Re: Who got the British Boxing Forum locked away?
Another forum I use shows the forums on the General Index, but doesn't allow you to select them until you've logged in. That would be a better alternative for Shep, so potential new posters can see it's there and force them to register.

No, we are at war... the winner gets to referee the fight between Horse and Scott Harrison.
Whoever emerges victorious is in the top 5 of the British 30 p4p greats list he does every month.
PS Did you come on especially to tell us to leave Spud alone?! Are you sat in the same living room? Come on, answer the question .........![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
