Big Matt says his battle with Chagaev has shown he can perform at top level.

Good to see. I was thinking he may have retired.

I think this makes news makes a fight with Audley in the new year a possibility. I expect Skelton to lose this fight on points (but possibly be on the end of a dodgy decision.) I watched the Sam v Vidoz fight on youtube and Vidoz was a tad unlucky there.

True, but neither is Matt Skelton mate. I don't think the words 'Skelton' and 'good' have ever collided in the same sentence..

Vidoz would be a better HW If he wasn't fat, Skelton lost against Chagaev but made It closer than the cards and did better than Valeuv. Skelton will outwork Vidoz who was awful against Virchis.

Skelton's crude but he's effective with It so he Is good.

Good luck to Skelton, but with all due respect, this is one fight I won't be losing any sleep over...

Skelton with wins over Danny Williams and Michael Sprott and a good challenge against Ruslan Chagaev proves he is at least deserving of being called a good fighter.

Doubt anyone whos ever peeled their fat arse off their arm chair and been hit in the face in a boxing ring would knock a fella like Skelton.

Skelton needs to hurt the big man and win by KO or win big if this is in Italy (sorry haven't read the article). Skelton gave a spirited account against Chagaev despite losing wide and can clearly mix it at Euro level. However, given Skelton's age I worry that one day he's going to get old, but Skelton should still have too much for the likes of Vidoz.

Italy must be one of the hardest places in the world to get a verdict – right up there with Scotland.

Allow me to substitute the word 'round' for verdict, as the away fighters may not often deserve to win, but some of the Scots referees do have a propensity to dish out shutout verdicts to the home fighter. What do you guys think?

That's fair enough but next time you attend a show, score the fights yourself – if you don't already – and compare with the referees verdict. Let me know how it goes.

If you think Skelton's good I would hate to watch the fighters you think are bad.

And if we're talking fat we can discuss Skelton and Williams all you like mate.

What Skelton lacks in skills he makes up for in heart and determination. He fights like that everytime, not like Danny Williams. Skelton does his best with what he has, and you cant fault him for that. He never stopped trying with Chagaev. He isnt like Harrison either, he has the guts to come forward. Say what you like about Big Matt, who in Britain can beat him?
