James Oyebola, were is he now?

I remember watching this former British Heavyweight Champion fighting a few times, he was HUGE!

I also remember a bit of a slanging match between him and Herbie Hide, unfortunatly they never fought.

Anyone know what he is up to now? Is he still working on the doors?

Still in London. He advises the Nigerian boxers at Kronk St Pancras.

Cheers, nice to know he's still involved with the game. On interviews I saw/read he seemed a nice enough bloke.

Had a voice like Barry White if I recall, very very deep.

I wonder how he would have done against Hide?

Oyebola could bang. Unfortunately, that's all he could do. Hide has more all-round ability but was too scared to get in the ring with Oyebola.

The Dude did look very intimidating.

Hide's extra ability and speed would make him the favourite I agree, but if Herbie fought scared like he did against big Vitali, who knows?
