This is interesting. I was reading about the USA version, with Ray Leonard as the host/advisor.
At first I didn't pay it any attention ( ANOTHER reality TV show?! ) but on hearing it's actualy real boxers taking part, it sounds like it could possibly make big waves in the world of boxing.

When you think of the viewing figures that the Big Bruv series picks up -
absolutely millions of people tuning in to see a bunch of talentless f**k wits - imagine if these same viewers are watching boxers, some of whom might actualy be good fighters, or have great personalities, or De La Hoya type good looks. Kevin Mitchell would be a good contender for this.

There will likely be a few huge stars emerge - those same viewers will then tune in to follow his career on the BBC: A massive, instant fan base.

The mind boggles. I just hope it's some decent fighters they choose.

I have my concerns about this idea.

If it's done in a very professional and well reserched manner, with very strict regulations it may be good for the sport.

However anything less than that, could be bad for the sport, you know whats it's like guys there are many people all too eager to condem the sport we love.

Oh and PLEASE don't let Davina McCall present it.
