I'll give him credit for avenging his first loss to Danny Williams. Danny is no slouch, and has a few good wins under his belt. Coming back from a tough loss to him to KO him was a good sign that he wanted to improve and advance.
Now he has a loss to Dominic Guin in a fight no one wants to see a rematch in. But he also has a loss to Sprott. Audley dropped Sprott in the first, and might be able to avenge his loss like he did to Danny.
Avenging a loss is always big when trying to regain lost ground. It does not wipe the slate clean that you lost in the first place, but it does help quite a bit.
If Audley could rematch Sprott and get a win he could then move on to fight a few top guys from the US. He needs to make that move soon. Then after that may be a shot at a Russian. THere are plenty of titles to shoot for. But I'd still like to see him leave no doubt he is the best in Britain before he takes out those outside of there. Clean up your own backyard and be the big fish in your pond before you venture out for bigger fish.
If he can't be teh top dog in Britain, than he is not ready for the rest of the World. That is not to say Britain does not have some decently tough guys, but they are not top 10 or top 15 fighters, so he really needs to be able to beat them.
He has had several fights with the top British heavies, and so far has not been able to prove his dominance over them. He did beat Danny, and but lost to Sprott.
I would think a rematch with Sprott would be nice to clear the air, but I can see your point that if he just tossed his hat in the ring with a top ten guy it might be better. That way he could erase it all with one win. he if beat a top ten guy no one would complain, and if he was ever going to do it, it would be now.
