First-Round Kayo Times Still Needed
Do we really need the times. There is so many other priorities I think the times of the endings of bouts, even first rounders are not that important but if someone has the info it's o.k. to input. But just for the record, let's not put too much of a priority on it, just an opinion.
The Jensen- Marili, IBC, Title was in Denmark, My brother Pete was a referee for another title bout that evening and also sat in as a judge for the IBC 112pound title he isn't sure of the time, but as best he remembers it was something like 1:12 OR 1:35 not long, but good while it lasted. Just, Marili on the ropes and getting caught.

I copied the following off the Danish Boxing site the day after the fight.
*********************************************
Jesper David Jensen (25-1 9ko) Knocked out Mzukisi Marali
of RSA in round one to win the IBC Title
Before the fight really started, when the two fighters were still
evaluating one another, at 1 second before the bell ended round one,
Jesper cought Marali with a fatal left hook to the chin.
Marali just walked into it, and the result for him was devistating.
He didn't have a chance to get up.
The punch was simply to hard and too well placed.
*********************************************
This was sniped out of the report of the show.

BANGKOK-SAMSON TOYOTA-THAILAND, previously fighting as Samson 3K-Battery, registered the 30th defense of his WBF super-fly title, as he demolished a Korean opponent named JINHO LEE at 1:28 of the opening session in a scheduled 12. The Thai lefty Samson, 35-0, 32 KOs, is slated to make his 31st defense this Mar.

THAT PROBABLY IS CORRECT, ROUND 1 IS ALL I WAS TOLD THAT WAS FOR CERTAIN BUT MY POINT IS THAT THE TIME IS GOOD INFORMATION BUT NOT A PRIORITY, IF IT'S FOR A BOOK AND THEY WANT SOME TIMES FINE. JUST SAYING IT WOULD BE A LOT OF EXTRA WORK TO LOOK FOR PROGRAMS AND NEWSPAPERS IF IT WAS JUST TO ADD ON THE SITE. AND THERE IS SO MUCH MORE THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE FIRST.
AS FAR AS THE FIGHT I WAS NOT THERE AND THE FIRST ROUND IS THE FIRST ROUND. I THINK IMPORTANT NOTES RE: TIME WOULD BE IF THE FIGHT WAS A KO IN, LETS SAY 14 OR 12 OR 15 SECONDS. OR AT 2:59 of the last round.
JUST SAYIN'
BUT HEY IF IT'S FOR A BOOK, GO FOR IT.
GOOD LUCK.............

Stan,
Mike, I and others put together a list of 1st round knockouts in all alphabet soup title fights. What he listed is the remaining bouts that we've not been able to locate yet. The others have already been published in the IBRO Journal, so you see...it pretty much is priority to us. It might be different if he post the message in the editors only forum, but he didn't...it's open forum.
