Re: LEWIS RETURNING?
Wont happen, too much to lose even for that money. Lewis would have lost, but for Klitschos eye. Yes Lewis won, but surely he cant be satisfied that he beat Vitali fair and square.

Vitali hasn't heard anything, he's putting the claim out there as a lure. He's younger and semi-active, what would beating Lewis prove?

Re: LEWIS RETURNING?
Nothing, but it would be his greatest payday and maybe even the greatest payday ever for a HW bout. No doubt he is aware Don King is alledgedly making a huge offer to Lewis and thinks he will give in and agree.Grilling Machine wrote:Vitali hasn't heard anything, he's putting the claim out there as a lure. Re: LEWIS RETURNING?
This has all been stirred up again because Vitali said that LL was in training. I'm sure that's not the case especially judging by the hologram belly he was sporting for the Klitschko Peter ring walk.
I'm sure Lennox is quite satisfied with winning by forcing a stoppage otherwise i suppose he would have stopped targetting the eye once the cut appeared.

Re: LEWIS RETURNING?
The laugh is on Vitali and King....Lewis has lost a bit of weight, Don makes an offer, Vitali gets a hard on.
Lewis will let them jerk off over it for a while, but he's content in retirement, way too smart to come back after a massive layoff at the age of 43 and take the fight, I don't believe a bar of it.
Lewis yanked Don's chain for years giving him coquettish looks and suggesting he was contemplating signing for Don, even getting Don to shower him with gifts, before walking away and leaving Don with his hair sagging and his mouth and downturned as that Ugandan bloke off of Fonejacker when they don't want his '20,000 Ugandan Dolla's"

Re: LEWIS RETURNING?
I agree, James.
If I was Lewis, it would be tempting to tease Vitali and Don a bit. Lead them on etc...
But anyway, after ignoring and turning down the offers for the first couple of years, Lewis should just ignore them now. They'll get bored and go away. Would still be sweet if Lewis took it and sparked him out in R1 though! Cant see it somehow.

Re: LEWIS RETURNING?
This is criminal and Emanuel Steward is apparent as the man fuelling it up. Is he insane?
Re: LEWIS RETURNING?
I saw him at the Jones fight and can back that up. Also, someone did ask him whether he'd come back outside MSG and he said categorically not.Shirow wrote:This has all been stirred up again because Vitali said that LL was in training. Re: LEWIS RETURNING?
It won't happen. Lewis is a rich dude and fighting Vitali again (loses this time, surely?) will do zilch for his legacy, apart from tarnish it.

Re: LEWIS RETURNING?
Unless he's getting $50million, then whats the point?
So what if he beats Vitali? it wont raise the opinion of him, in anyones eyes (by that i mean anyone who's opinion actually matters) and if he loses, so what? he's 43 and gray haired
Nice way for Lennox to keep his name in the headlines, tho
