Honestly Galaxy, you know exactly the point being made. Hatton blatantly milks this character as he believes it sells. It's not that it isnt based on reality, but if I spent every day at work bleating on about all the things I thought made me interesting I'd eventually be told to give it a fvcking rest too.

What i don't see is someone like Calzaghe who has his own TV show spouting the same bullshit every week, doing gay programmes following him at home (at home with the hattons has to be the gayest programme ever) jumping in front of the camera at every opportunity telling the world what a man of the people he is flaunting his family into the public eye (his dad an exception for obvious reasons) milking it all whether he's warming up for a fight or not.

Someone like Calzaghe rarely talks to the media about anything other than boxing. Hatton wants everyone to know how he's such a loveable rogue and everyones best mate. His stand up comedy is also pathetic as he relies on swearing to make people laugh, worst form of humour.

His comments are so tiresome, they are word for word the same every single interview.

Honestly Galaxy, you know exactly the point being made. Hatton blatantly milks this character as he believes it sells.

He has also said about promising a 'barnstorming fight'.
He does a lot of 'promising' these days and then when he has an off night, someone from his camp mentions chest infections and not ideal preperation etc.
As already said, he's obliged to promote his fights with this sort of banter as are all boxers.

The lad is interviewed so many times, and has obviously developed his patter that works, and sticks with it. He's a nice guy... and IMO probably not as intelligent as he's sometimes given credit for. Whilst he's got a bit of charisma and appeal, and can roll his usual cliches off the tongue - he's not really eloquent enough to come up with much else when in an interview.

That's not knocking him, by the way... just the way I see it. A recent example being "I've changed completely under Floyd Snr, I'm the best i've ever been.... " and in the next sentence "You'll see the same old Ricky Hatton..." He just doesn't articulate himself as well as some boxers.

He gets so much media attention, he's found a formula that obviously works and uses it.

You forget, that his fanbase - essentially very casual fans and footy fans - don't see anywhere near the amount of interviews and boxing media that we do - so they probably don't even pick up on it as cliches.

The bottom line is, that he's marketing himself well - sells more tickets than any fighter on the planet for christs sakes. I doubt he loses sleep if a few hardcore fans knock him for being repetetive.

I'm getting pretty bored of him now I must be honest.

I've gone in a year from someone who was looking to go to Vegas to watch him fight Mayweather (and would have had the ticket prices not been scandalous) to not even bothering to buy the PPV tomorrow because I don't feel PPV is justified for this.

And Sky are getting on my tits with their crappy cliched coverage of the build up too.
