Well done, Big Bad Wolf. I'm so pleased somebody started a thread specifically to let us all know that Amir Khan has a suspect chin. You know, that's not something any of us could have gathered by simply watching his fights. But useful as this information was, what makes it even better is that you are the very first person on the forum to make this point. There has not been a single thread, or even posts within other threads, that have touched on this point, and that is what makes this thread, and, indeed, your very contribution to this forum, so fundamentally valuable.

And, as if that wasn’t enough, your conclusion that Amir Khan has the worst chin in boxing was reached through cogent and erudite reasoning: what a joy it is to read something that is at once informative -- and clearly from a poster of superior intelligence -- yet at the same time skillfully crafted and gracefully written.

It all reminds me of Hamlet

"What a piece of work is a man, how noble in reason, how
infinite in faculties, in form and moving how express and
admirable, in action how like an angel, in apprehension how like
a god! the beauty of the world, the paragon of animals—and yet,
to me, what is this quintessence of dust? Man delights not me—
nor woman neither, though by your post on the Boxrec forum
you seem to say so."

A thousand thankyous to you.

Erm, can you please not criticise the guy. He's a new member and has just started one of the finest, most original threads of the year.

I think Valuev's got the biggest chin I've ever seen...

His jaw looks like Quagmire's, from Family Guy

Martin Concepcion, Pele Reid, David Walker (although he was fantastic to watch and his vulnerabilties added to the excitement) and as an amateur David Price has been exposed a bit.

Well, he's probably got the worst record ever: stopped in every fight, usually in the first round. Has anybody ever seen Crumble fight?

Gomez and Pryce both knocked him out, but the most worrying thing was Martin was also knocked out by two relative unknown journeymen earlier on in his career. I've got nothing against any boxer, but I thought this was a forum and you were entitled to have opinions. You are obviously too sensitive mate, get out more....!

Also where on my post does it say I have ranked him the most chinniest boxer in the world? Somone has said Floyd Patterson on this thread and he was a heavyweight champion of the world!! All I'm trying to say is the boxers I mentioned didn't exactly have chins made out of cast iron.

to be fair the thread is called most chinny boxer so its bound to mean the most chinny boxer in the world, and you put Conception in your list.

UGhhhhhhhhhhh?????

David Walker chinny??

What on earth do you know about boxing to come out with a statement like that? Walker was too brave for his own good - he got used to taking some terrific shots and whilst some would have been sparked or gone down on a knee to get a rest or count - Walker carried on.

Most chinny boxer?

Christ it's more ridiculous than the P4P and Hardest P4P puncher threads, how on earth can anyone know who the chinniest boxer is? Chances are we've never heard of the chinniest boxer because he's that diabolically bad.

im not gonna say it but after his dramas against mccall, rahman, briggs (and to some extent bruno in those 6th and 7th rounds), be honest you always got nervous after he took a shot flush coz u never knew.
Lennox Lewis took clean shots from Tua, Holyfield, Mercer, Vitali Klitschko and even shipped a few from Tyson in the first couple of rounds of their 'era-defining' contest. All without touching down.
I'm not trying to make out that Lennox had a chin of cast iron - as evidenced by his two losses, he could be hit and hurt - but I do think the myth of his fragile whiskas is grossly exaggerated.

While we're on the subject of Lewis's defeats it is also worth mentioning that Oliver McCall is much more talented boxer than his record gives him credit for. If not for McCall's near-legendary drug addiction, the heavyweight landscape of the last fifteen years could have been very different indeed.
