Re: prizefighter middles
max maxwell is interesting odds at 10/1 if a bit inconsistent which may put me off betting
in his only trip to date up at middleweight he demolished Matty Hough for the mids title, looking absolutely superb in the process
then he lost a fight i never thought he could lose back down at 154 to a bloke Rob kenney i thought he would beat all ends up
decent jab, seems very fit, good right hand, my concern for him in the 3 round format is he's normally pretty cautious and measured in his approach
however if he starts letting bombs go with his right hand, watch out!

Re: prizefighter middles
Are these really the best 8 middleweights that wanted to fight for a chance of 25'000?
Paul Smith, Eastman, didnt fancy the money or the notoriety?

Re: prizefighter middles
Well i'm going for Renda to win it, and if thats anything like my other prizefighter predictions then he'll lose in the first round!!
This is how i see it all panning out
Renda v Thornton ---- Renda by KO
Butler v Samuels ----- Butler Points
Rea v Murray ----- Rea Points
Maxwell v Ede ----- Ede Points
Semi's
Renda v Butler ----- Renda Points
Rea v Ede ----- Rea Points
Final
Rea v Renda ----- Renda KO

Re: prizefighter middles
I've gone with Renda too. Beat Steve already and did alright against Smigga.
Re: prizefighter middles
Anyone thought about the distinct likelihood of much longer gaps between fights to string the whole thing out?
Not as relevant as it would be with heavyweights, but food for thought.

If it was the Paul Samuels of a few years ago, he would of won it, but i think the 2008 version is gone

Anyway i'm on a date tonight, so will have to find a pub showing this and keep feigning interest in her conversation whilst keeping an eye on the boxing.
I'm sure she'll never guess

Samuels/Butler looks good, could get a surprise result.
Re: prizefighter middles
I'm quite excited about this one, because even tho the standard ain't great, I think it is very even, and I think the matchups will gel well
