Death's in the ring?

Post by burroughs »

Does anyone know how many boxers died in the ring, or soon after due to a fight?[/b]

actually -- many more people are killed with gloves -- bareknucklers would hurt their hands before they killed you.

Those 6-oz Everlasts and Sol Levin's allow you to punch much harder. One of the reasons why john L Sullivan preferred glove contests.

i just saw the dempsey vs. jess willard fight and that man barely made it to his next day. I'm new to watching boxing so I was surprised to see how knock downs used to take place. as soon as the man gets off the canvas you're allowed to continue the onslaught of punches. Doesn't really seem fair that you're still half bent over and someone is drilling you again. Anyway that's just what I think. :D
