The Sun has far better sports coverage than a lot of broadsheets and they make no pretense of being anything other than a quick read for a low price. If I want to read an intelligent debate on the economy then im not going to buy the Sun. If I want to improve my vocabulary then I will read a book. If however I want to find out the football scores and read a few transfer rumours in the ten minutes I have spare in the evenings then why shouldn't I read the Sun?
As long as you are aware what you are reading then read whatever the hell you want.

DLH is in a league way above Hatton on stateside viewings. $3m in total for Mosley v Mayorga? An assumption of around $2m to $2.5m from HBO alone for Hatton himself looks about right.
for the hatton vs mayweather fight , ppv sales were 1.4m in the uk alone , merchant says hatton made $30m from this???
for the ppv figures , 1.4m x £15 would get you £21m.....if hatton made $30 or around £15m (the pound was much stronger vs the dollar )
its a hell of a lot of ££££ , it must mean for every ppv sale hatton get £10 and sky etc get the rest???

ps: jim lampley was so biased it was unreal but he was not anyway near as biased as the ones on setanta - woodhall and the main commentator....for the calzaghe / jones fight i thought that both were wanting to meet calzaghe in the showers for a 3some the way they were talking about joe.
IMO it's a bit naive to assume that two thirds of any PPV goes directly into the boxer's pocket. You pay £1 for a bottle of coke and only about 15p goes to coke themselves. I'd guess purely from a marketing, merchandise etc point of view that Hatton takes 1/3-1/2 of PPV money at best.

Agreed. Sky make a big proportion of it and spend a lot on marketing it. I'd guess a maximum of £5 per buy goes to Team Hatton.
