firstly kim heta is not in the top eight as far as footy goes les boyd wasn't a front rower in the nrl but he would have minced any front rower or any other position for that matter if we're talking about wingers being weak look at wendal sailor and jona lomu they would run right over the top of haumono .now back to boxing any of the top eight could win decisions over each other doesn't mean haumono could do twelve rounds with any of them.

for the record no player ran over the top of haumono on the footy field. he was feared as much as any player i can remember. it was quite funny to watch some of these big tough forwards change direction or pass the ball when they looked up and saw haumono was coming at them. it was very noticable and you would be surprised at how many times in one game they would dodge him.

Which Les Boyd are you talking about? The maniac that played for Western Suburbs and Manly Warringah was a front row and second row forward. He was nearly as wide as he was tall.

Sailor played league for Brisbane before he went to rugby union. He would run around Haumono, not through him. Lomu was a Rugby Union winger. It is a completely different game.

u obviously r not a fan of haumono, but if u had watched when he played he was as tough as anyone who he played against. fact. u would also have seen other tough men go out of their way to avoid him when they looked up and saw him coming their way. he was respected on the field as a tough bugger and was feared by many.

I think if you check my previous posts you will find i am a big fan, just frustrated at his level of opposition like most people.
as far as Rugby league go's i've been watching every weekend since Parramatta beat Canterbury 4-2 in the 1986 grandfinal, an as my own playing credentials go, i represented both city and state at jnr level, and had a couple of runs with a few pro teams before my shoulder collapsed, i think i know a bit about Rugby league and seen Solo play for the doggies many times, but oppions do vary, i just think when you can finish a game of football with a broken jaw,broken leg, dislocated shoulder and so on, the hardman tag should be left for these type of guys, not a guy that was used for an impact player and had number 14 on his back for most of his carear. Good player though.

Soloman was an impact defensive footballer when coming off the bench. But that all he was in League. He had little attacking skills and was not an 80 mintes player. When he hit, he hit hard but he was not a busy player.

The fastest he ever moved was when he rushed off to the UK when smitten by the "pleasure Machine", leaving his League team in the lurch. Both he and Mundine were famous for bailing out from their League teams and one wonders if Soloman will stick with boxing after he is matched with stonger opposition.
