You obviously missed the Briggs vs Wilson fight, I think a fit and focused Briggs now being trained by his brother Paul is a completely different animal

Briggs easily outboxed Leapai in the first 3 rounds before he ran out of steam, however I think he should rematch him and show some improvement in being able to take shots if he is to go anywhere.

His gold medal was in the Commonwealth Games. I think he may want to stay amateur.Uppercut1 wrote:What ever Happened to Brad Pitt? Not the actor, the heavyweight who won a Gold Medal in the Olympics for Australia.

do you mean he should stay amateur because he's not up to it, or that he wants to stay amateur?Brute wrote:His gold medal was in the Commonwealth Games. He has fought in the Commonwealth and Olympic games and has not made a move to turn pro.
Tony Madigan was probably the best amateur light-heavyweight this country produced. He was an Empire Games Gold Medalist, an Olympic Bronze medalist and Diamond Belt (Amateur World Champion) holder. He also beat Cassius Clay in the USA Golden Gloves. He never turned professional, he made a career in business instead.
