wbo rankings

Post by sheffield boxin »

when do the rankings get updated? kell brook was ranked 13th before the mcintyre fight and a few fighters above him in the rankings have lost or moved up a weight.

They can be manipulated quite easily. Remember Hamed being installed as WBO mandatory at feather, when he had never fought at the weight or been involved with the WBO before.
Also look at Catley getting the Woodhall job at short notice, slipping into the Super middle ratings last minute despite never having fought at the weight.
FW is a common demoninator here, he will easily find a a roadsweeper, or someone at a similar weight from his own stable, and I guarantee they will get a late entry into the rankings to justify the shot.
This is how boxing works.
Macca gets his title back against a no hoper on the cheap.

They've got a couple of spelling mistakes (names) in just the Welterweight rankings.

Catley and Woodhall was WBC, but the point still stands I suppose.
