Banks has supposedly pulled out of Macca fight (supermerged)
Re: Herbie Hide could be fighting Macca on Sat for WBO title

fornicating hell Macarinelli is not that bad! Hide is so erratic I take Enzo to KO him in 4 or 5 after some scary moments, if it happened.
But anything could happen with Herbie Hide.

If the same Hide turns up that even resembles the fighter that fought Riddick Bowe then macceroni is screwed

I'd definately be buying the PPV again if this one comes off, hopefully Hide has been keeping himself in shape. It could go either way as neither have the sturdiest chin and both can BANG, but if pushed I'd go for Macca.
Lets get it on
Lets get it on

What, so he can do well for a few rounds then get spanked? And how long ago was that? Come on boys, we're clutching at straws a bit here.bennie wrote:If the same Hide turns up that even resembles the fighter that fought Riddick Bowe then Hide is screwed.Spiker wrote:If the same Hide turns up that even resembles the fighter that fought Riddick Bowe then macceroni is screwed
He may land a cracker on Macc's chin and give him real problems, but it's years since the Bowe fight.

Wow that would be a blinding replacement if they do it. It's a natural, but I was thinking SN wouldn't want to take the risk - Hide might well get hammered, but he'd be one punch away while it lasted.
It's a dream fight really, or a bad nightmare - must have read a million posts on here wondering what would happen if those two chinny bangers squared off.
Here's hoping...

Re: Herbie Hide could be fighting Macca on Sat for WBO title
Ive been impressed with Hide's focus and willingness to keep busy. I have no doubts that Hide is capable of capturing a title again, though clearly he would be an underdog against Macca. To be honest, its not necessarily a good move for Hide to take this fight at such short notice - would be better perhaps to wait for the WBC eliminator.
Re: Herbie Hide could be fighting Macca on Sat for WBO title
This fighjt would have been better with some hype building upto it. But better match than expected this last minute.

Come on Herbie.....Id love to see him do it..BUT i dont think he will....Hes not that bad a person in all honesty, always had time for the younger schoolboy boxers in the Norfolk area....The herbie who beat Michael Bennt would hammer Macca, but that was a long time ago!!!
Re: Herbie Hide could be fighting Macca on Sat for WBO title
If Macca and Warren think Hide is easy pickings, who knows maybe it happens. Arena Box could do with their first world champ, will they at last match Herbie aggressively, will Hide want to take the gamble only a couple of weeks after his last bout?
However, the talk of Hide on the shortlist might just be that...talk, and Enzo ends up fighting someone much worse. And maybe blames Hide for ducking, building up a heated, bad tempered rivalry that peters out on badly written press releases.

Fantastic replacement if it comes off .. don`t see Hide winning, but its a real 60/40 fight in Enzo`s favour.
Both guys can whack .. Hide still can`t take a heavy shot, and is the more tallented but has slowed quite alot in recent fights .. Enzo will take the better shot and throw more .. Enzo wins inside 6.

I'd be very surprised if this match were made. I don't believe Hide would genuinely want it.
The PPV does need a serious replacement though, if only by name. That might just swing it somehow.
Enzo would surely pick Hide apart now though, who appears to fight from memory most of the time.

If this fight *does* get confirmed, I dont care if i'm walking the kids to school, having a dump, in a meeting, shagging the missus or talking to my nan.. I will calmly make my way to the nearest bottle of strong cider, down it in one, wipe my mouth on my sleeve, belch loudly and murmer under my breath "you f8Vking beauty".

This is THE fight to make. For that reason alone, it will never happen. I'd be amazed if we see Hide and Enzo sharing a ring on Saturday night.
Enzo would probably want it - Hide wouldn't (unless he's offered a grotesque amount of money).
Also, given the history between the pair, do you reckon Fwank Warren will want anything to do with Herbie and his free spirit? There's just as much chance of Wazza getting chinned as there is Enzo should Hide be brought over for Saturday. There are risks and then there is Herbie Hide. ANYTHING could happen with that guy.
As for the fight, Enzo blasts him in a round. But it will be beautiful while it lasts.

So are we dreaming, or is this going to come off?? Why put the story out there if they're not serious? Ok don't answer that....
But it's goning to be a massive let down if they follow this up with Enzo v a cab driver. People will turn down the PPV & sales if they're feeling cheated.
Could be SN see it a calculated revenue generating risk worth taking. After all, they probably assume Hide is shot....
And I think Hide will want this, he'll take a look at Enzo getting blasted by Haye and think he's one punch away from an astounding career comeback

I would love it to be Herbie.DD
Expect some typically conservative last minute match making from FW and his boys..
thinks Enzo is a squiggle 3) Herbie would be worth buying as if he won the options would be worth £££

I think we are dreaming to be fair, remember the Bunce interview with Hide on Setanta when Hide said he was taking allegedly to court. I doubt Mr Warren would have someone whos taking him to court on one of his shows.
