Well, I think it's obvious Hopkins would beat Jones right now --- it should be equally obvious that my post was coming from a historical perspective of both men, & wasn't making a literal point, i.e. Jones was better, & would always beat him in their pomps.
In any case, my view is Jones was better, but to Hopkins' credit, he is the more accomplished fighter. Hopkins has some great attributes, but he's one of those fighters who really only should be good, but turn out to be great, instead (One of his victims, Felix Trinidad, fits the same bill, actually).
All the more credit to men like that, I say.

i feel that Roy does. He had that aire of invincibility while Hopkins never had.
Plus Roy beat him head to head decisively which tells me that anything Hopkins can do Roy can also, except with less a problem. only problem may be his chin
