Bang on BB! I feel the same, I was quite looking forward to Pacman-DLH in a circus type of way and the card WAS well worth the £15, but I begrudge to pay the £15 now as the 2 most competitive UK fights have gone to the dogs. There's only one man that can save Franks card and that's Herbie Hide. Dig deep Allegedly!

You can rant all you want , I agree with you by the way , but whilst people pay it will kep on happening . With three more signings looks like someone is not ready to retire so sit back and wait for the next ten years too be the same .

It isn't boring. No enough of it is done. Great post, Billy.

You've got the US leg of the bill which some might say is interesting enough to fork out for.

But the British leg of the PPV is absolutely shite.

Surely not a 'load' of them. One, maybe.

Look, let's focus on the BRITISH leg of the PPV.

Do you think it's any good? If yes, could you explain to me, please.

Pull-outs are extremely infuriating and in Warren's case an all too regular occurance.

In the interests of balance, other promoters suffer from changes as well. From the original advertised Hennessy bill, neither Wayne Elcock vs Jason McKay and Young Mutley vs John O'Donnell is taking place and we're still to here confirmation from Hennessy that O'Donnell-Mutley is off. In fact, Hennessy's bills regularly suffer pull out after pull out.

To mention a few this year, Murray-McAllister (now put back to January, apparently), Williams-McDermott, Froch-Inkin and Froch-Williams. Given the number of shows Hennessy promoters in comparison to Warren, his number of postponements / cancellations is particularly high. And while we're on the topic of poor communication from promoters, I've seen nothing from Matchroom as to why Colin Lynes will fight for the vacant British title against Paul McCloskey with David Barnes now stripped.

I agree that there is seemingly an air of inevitably about Warren's shows with regards to announced fights failing to take place. I'm still left wondering what happened to Audley Harrison vs Samuel Peter and Warren's handling of the recent Brook-Mcintyre bill, switching it from Birmingham to Scotland, left a lot to be desired.

Generally though all our promoters are at it and all of them need to improve their communication to the paying customer. Warren will always get the backlash because the bills and fights he stages are typically more high profile.

exactly, they are all as bad/unlucky  as each other, yet Hennessey bill doesnt get one thread about Joke card etc

if it wasnt for the pull outs the FW card was still by far a better card (PPV is irrelvant according to Ian as the US side more than covers this) than Hennessey, and depending on Enzo's oppo still could be cause other than Froch the bill is shit

Jesus, I'm losing track of this.

Can someone tell me who is left on the Froch bill, please? :D

The difference is this, as far as I'm concerned:

The allegedly bill, PPV or not, is shite.

The Hennessy one has a stand out fight in Froch v Pascal and at least one (to my knowledge) decent undercard fight.

Exactly - the ODLH card is nothing to do with the Warren card :witzend:

Khan against a journeyman .. regardless what anybody here thinks - its a 90% certainty for Khan to win :witzend:
Harrison v Rogan .. I like Rogan, but he is just made for Audley - so its 80% cert for Audley :witzend:
Enzo v TBA .. that`ll be 90% in Enzo`s favour you can bet.

Why PPV? simply because he knows there are enough fools who know nothing about the sport who are willing to pay it.

I cant think many people will be buying this for the UK leg, regardless of the line up changes.

Saturday is all about DLH - Pacman

Unless Wazza shocks us all and Herbie Hide will be in the ring at 11pm looking at a ver, very nervous Enzo Maccareinlli

Agreed.

If Herbie gets the call, I might even shell out myself.

The only fight on the UK card which actually intrigued me was Enzo v Banks so I was mainly buying it for the DLH v Pacquaio fight.

Think Smith Is on the Widnes card Instead now according to his facebook.

Chambers, DLH-Pac Is as bad a mismatch as Calzaghe Vs Manfredo, DLH's size will bounce him around early. The American's eat up what DLH does though so they'll be entertained.

I don't shell out for PPV and won't for this but I was hoping Enzo beat Banks and made a decent comeback.

I wasn't happy about DLH v Pac being made, as it's removing the power punching quality of Manny from a match up.

But you have to make positives from what you have, and it will still be a spectacle to see Manny throwing those left hand bombs onto DLH's chin, for however long he can do it for.

No there arent. If that TBA turns out to be a no-name, this PPV will be the worse ever in terms of buys (spawns topic..). Joe Public will not shell out £15 for this, not with the Froch fight on ITV.

It's "Herbie Or Bust" I reckon.

Maccarinelli-Hide will make the card much better, but it's still far from PPV worthy. Take away Audley's gold medal and he's basically a southpaw Scott Gammer. Take away Amir Khan's silver medal and he's basically John Fewkes. Not entirely accurate, but what I mean is both Khan and Harrison have already been shown up at a certain level - a level beneath anything remotely world-class. Just because they're big names does not make them world-class - especially when both have been frighteningly knocked out. You can't sell a PPV show on the back of two Commonwealth title level fighters. Oh, but you can...

If Macca runs to the ring any faster he's going to need a baton and Usain Bolt to hand over too.

In fact its been confirmed Barrett beat his time by 0.37 seconds to set the record for ring entrances versus David Haye at 7.42secs.

Can't see anyone surpassing that.
