boxing beginners legal questions

Post by Would_Be_Boxer »

How does one get a liscence for boxing? Is there a test you have to pass? Written or physical? How long does it "normally" take a guy to go from just practicing to having proffessional bouts? Is the pay scale high or low? Also do you make more for winning? Are there a need for light boxers? (about 135lbs. myself)and if so, how does getting "hired" occur? Does a coach have to sign you?

it depends what state you live in. here in TX it just cost 40 bucks but you have to have proof you have experience has to be open class over 10 amateur fights. if your over 35 you have to through tons of test. but really its very easy to get a license, just make sure you have a manager that knows what they're doing. since your asking this question on here I assume you don't. your better off getting one since they know the legal side of things.
