Can I ask for my money back?

Call and demand a full refund, if they decline let them know you'll simply contact your credit card company demanding they file a charge back on the transaction

I just wonder if a claim could be based on the fact that the bill was advertised as something it isn't, even AFTER they knew about pull outs? As of right now see ticktes mentions Nicky Cook, and Warren dot TV still has Macca V Banks built.

I think that when the are pull outs it should be made clear and known in the first instance on the sites selling tickets.

Do be aware that when you bought tickets online you might have agreed to terms and conditions that have been designed for exactly this situation.

As I said previously, those terms and conditions still have to be backed by law. You cannot impose unreasonable terms and conditions on the purchase of a ticket for an event - as a consumer you still have statutory rights which remain unaffected.

I know what you are saying, yeah, but in this case I think the defence would simply be that the consumer bought the ticket having been made fully aware that "The Bill can change without notice."

Specifically the See tickets terms are " Once purchased, tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, refunded or returned unless the event is cancelled, moved to another date, or if details of the event are significantly changed after an order is placed (significant changes being a change of headline act (concerts only), venue or show time). "

So, if it were a CONCERT you could claim a refund, but not a boxing match.

However, it could be possible to argue that the main events both dropping out are a significant change.

Well If I went to a Tina Turner concert and instead got Sinitta, I think I'd be entitled to get my money back.

That would be an open and shut case, of course.

I think at this stage, unless anyone does raise the issue legally, we have to accept that when buying tickets the bill might change.
