I used to go to a lot of shows but since Calzaghe's two cardiff bills i vowed never to go back to a warren show again. I love Joe but i convinced 8 of my friends to go on a weekend away to cardiff for the manfredo bill and we all bought near ringside tickets. They were not impressed

To be fair, that was a pretty decent show. OK, the 2 main events were not spectacular- Manfredo was stopped a little early, too. However, the undercard did include Khan, Jennings V Takaloo and Pryce in a commonwealth bout (I think). Plus no less than 10 other fights.

fair point, but us die-hards watch the whole show start to finish because we love the sport, we can watch it and understand it. A casual boxing fan is the same as a casual footy fan - one wants to see KO's and Gatti-Ward, the other wants MOTD. The main event has to be competitive in order to draw more fans in. It hard to sell a good undercard with a shit main, its far easier to sell a great main event with a weaker undercard.

Out of this picture, sure, but involved in the WBC picture - a much better picture (the WBO is kid's stuff). Unfortunately for Hide, he'll probably lose to Matt Godfrey in that WBC eliminator. Or just not turn up.
